Greenhouse Nitrogen Emission from Wastewater Treatment
Operations – Interim Report (U4R07a)
This
project characterizes nitrogenous greenhouse gas emissions from the
activated sludge portion of wastewater treatment plants and determines
the pathways for nitrous oxide generation and emission. It is the first
U.S. study to measure nitrous oxide emissions from bilogical nutrient
removal processes at multiple wastewater treatment plants and different
process configurations.(PDF Only)
