LIFT Collaborative Workshop on Odor Control in Collection Systems and WRP Head Works

In 2015, a new Focus Area utility workgroup on odor control and treatment was added to the WEF/WERF LIFT (Leaders Innovation Forum for Technology) program. The workgroup has held several teleconferences during 2015 to identify issues of high importance to facility owners as part of the LIFT technology evaluation program. One of the issues that has been identified is development of a better methodology for technical evaluation of odor reduction products for efficacy and performance optimization.

This day and a half long workshop in Milwaukee is for R&D managers and individuals involved in odor management and control to: 1) hear from experts on the state of the science and knowledge on odors and different approaches for controlling odors, 2) hear technical presentations from odor control technology and chemical providers including new innovations in the market, 3) share and exchange relevant information with other participants, 4) provide networking opportunities, and 5) begin to identify potential collaborative opportunities to share costs related to product evaluation and development of tools to optimize utilization of odor control products in the collection system or at the treatment plant head works.

Presented by LIFT, the event will be conducted in two parts:
