REPORT DESCRIPTION:

This report contains a state-of-the-art literature and practice review on geophysical methods and data management practices for the mapping aspects of subsurface utility engineering (SUE). The report will guide water and wastewater utilities to use effective and appropriate SUE practices. Current geophysical methods used in SUE surveys are investigated, as well as factors affecting these geophysical surveys. Includes descriptions, working principles, advantages, and limitations for the technologies. Additionally, a review of state-of-the art practices and case studies includes case studies from wastewater and drinking water utilities and discusses practices followed by other industries.
